Job Title: Technical Business Analyst

Job Overview:  

A Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between technical solutions and business needs. They are responsible for understanding and translating complex technical requirements into business-friendly language and vice versa. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, defining business and technical requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Mapping and documenting Product Requirements.
  2. Bridging the gap between business requirements and technical capabilities.
  3. Performing secondary research to determine business requirements for Products, and translating them into specifications for technical teams.
  4. Researching and documenting functional and technical requirements

Skills and Qualifications – 

  • At least 2 years of experience working as Technical Business Analyst or as a Technical Product Manager
  • Should have good experience in writing technical documents such as SRS, FRS, HLD, LLD
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English written communication skills (this is absolutely essential for this role).
  • Experience with Project Management tools
  • Good knowledge of Data Structures and Databases from a functional fitment perspective
  • Knowledge of programming languages and their fitment in different use-cases (Actual programming experience is preferred, but not required).

Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and document business needs and objectives. Analyze and translate these requirements into technical specifications.
Data Analysis: Evaluate and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform technical solutions. Create data models and perform data mapping as needed
Process Analysis: Assess current business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Document process flows and suggest optimizations.
Technical Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including system requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and user stories. Ensure that technical and business stakeholders have a clear understanding of project scope and objectives.
Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams (e.g., developers, IT staff) and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals.
Project Management: Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management. Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and issues.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to develop test cases, validate software functionality against business requirements, and ensure that the final product meets business expectations.
Change Management: Support change management efforts by helping business users adapt to new technology and processes. Provide training and documentation as needed.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party solutions and vendors, if required. Manage relationships with technology providers and assess their performance against business requirements.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and issues related to technology projects and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology. A master’s degree can be a plus.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, with a focus on technical projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with business process modeling and documentation tools.
  • Understanding of software development and IT infrastructure concepts
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP or CCBA) is a plus.
